Five fragrances, each with its own character, in the same quiet silhouette: matte white glass of 300 g or clear glass of 190 g, filled with our soy blend and a crackling wooden wick. Hand-poured in our Brecht atelier, labelled for Knokke-le-Zoute. Hover over a candle to see it burn at night.

Signature

Woody · oriental

Signature is the fragrance Oscar started with, the one the house is known by. It opens light and floral — jasmine, a hint of lily of the valley — but beneath it a warm bed of patchouli and cedar soon begins to glow. The longer the candle burns, the more the vanilla comes forward and the whole becomes round, soft, almost skin-warm. A fragrance that doesn’t ask for attention yet gets it: guests ask about it without knowing what they’re smelling. Familiar, never ordinary.

White Amber

Amber · musk

White Amber is the counterpoint to Signature: where that one is warm and dark, this one is light, clean and almost translucent. Think of freshly washed linen drying in the sun, a touch of bergamot, an iris just opened. The amber here is not a heavy oriental amber but a white, powdery version, carried by soft musk and a thread of vanilla. A fragrance that doesn’t fill a room but opens it — perfect wherever you want to breathe.

Oudh

Wood · leather

Oudh is the darkest of the five and the most grown-up. It starts dry and spicy, with saffron that pricks for a moment, then sinks into oud wood and cedar — smoky, resinous, with a touch of leather like an old armchair. Tonka and a double musk soften the base so it stays warm and never turns harsh. Not a candle for the morning, but for the hour after dinner, when the glasses are empty and the conversation is not.

Après-Ski is the surprise of the collection: a fragrance that begins like a bowl of red fruit — raspberry, ripe peach — and then slowly turns the room into a chalet. The rose at its heart keeps the fruit elegant, and beneath it comes the smoke: cedar, oakmoss, the feeling of a fire that has been burning for hours. Sweet and warm at once, without ever becoming sugary. Composed in Grasse, for the days when it’s colder outside than in.

Spiced Tonka

Spicy · amber

Spiced Tonka is the candle for the dark months. Cinnamon, clove and a pinch of black pepper open sharp and warm, like a kitchen where something has just gone into the oven. Then the tonka bean takes over: creamy, almond-like, with a twist of orange peel that keeps it fresh. The base of teak and amberwood makes it deep and woolly, like a winter coat you no longer take off. Composed in Grasse — the scent of December, of the first evening with the curtains drawn.

The atelier

Every candle is hand-poured in Brecht: soy blend, 8 % fragrance from Grasse and the Netherlands, a wooden wick that crackles softly. On every burn, let the wax melt to the edge (± 2 h) and trim the wick to ± 5 mm before relighting.
