100% handmade
Every candle from Oscar luxury passes through our own hands, we still make all our candles ourselves in Brecht, Belgium. We design most of our glassware and have it produced in European glassworks where craftsmen still blow each vase by mouth. You will therefore recognise our glass by its typical thickness!
We mainly work with wooden wicks, these give a typical sparkling and slightly crackling fire. For our fragrances, we collaborate with specialists from Grasse. In consultation, we thus develop the most magical fragrances. Fragrance is a very expensive part of a candle, we use 10% fragrance per candle. This is a lot more than the average 2% much others use.
Because we make all candles in our own workshop, we are also able to fill your empty jars. You can always hand in the empty candles at our flagship shop in Knokke, Dumortierlaan 115.
Why is handmade work not cheap? Because it doesn’t come from China. It comes from Passion.
So we strive to give you the very best and are happy to guarantee that your candle burns perfectly. We have tested our candles extensively to ensure they burn well. For example, the flame must not be too strong otherwise your candle will burn out too quickly, but if the flame is too weak, the candle will not burn out properly either. So it’s always a matter of finding the perfect balance.
